Indian Bridal Makeup

Hello beauties! A few weeks ago I put together this quick shoot with my pretty model friend Megan Barkley and my go to desi photographer, Aiya Photography in Lynnwood, WA at their studio. In just an hour photo shoot, we were able to pull of a great, natural Indian bridal look. Of course Indian bridal makeup is much more dramatic, but I decided to take a risk and go more simplistic which Megan really pulled off. Her face is so naturally flawless, I didn't want to hide it, and of course I wanted the clothing to really stand out. The more I do makeup, the more I realize how experiential Indian bridal makeup is. It's not always about the dramatic lashes and dark lips but more about achieving a regal look and presence, which can be done with many combinations of looks! I definitely want to put together more sample Punjabi bridal shoots, with of course more traditional Indian makeup. I'm thinking a smokey blue eye, nude lips and a two toned lengha next or how about a dramatic burgundy eye, rich red lips, and a dark red and white legnha? If you're a photographer, model , or bride in need, lets get together! Also stay tuned for more makeup looks on myself that my DIY brides can try out.;  Instagram @navnit_virdi
